Always on the lookout for books that will make going to the potty seem like fun, I was surprised by how well this one caught on. While "The Potty Train" by David Hochman and Ruth Kennison is somewhat simple, that meant it was just right for little boys to start thinking about sitting on that potty chair. After only a few reads my 3 year old started "reading" it to his little brothers with hardly an error.
Colorful and imaginative illustrations by Derek Anderson certainly take much of the credit for drawing children in. The stuffed animals are all learning to go potty too, each with their own pair of training underwear.
