It is cold, it is winter, and it is a perfect time for some winter sports. So, Mr. Magee decides it is time to learn how to ski. But instead of embarrassing himself on the slopes, he decides to do a little country training first on a great hill he knows. So with his little dog Dee in his backpack, and skis on his feet, he is off. Almost off a cliff that is!
"Learning to Ski With Mr. Magee" by Chris Van Dusen was a lot of fun. It is a great book to start getting kids to think ahead in teh story and predict what will happen next. Mr. Magee is a funny character, and the writing was witty and fun. Might not be the book to read if you actually plan on going skiing this year though.
